Rachel Kelly

Succession Planner

Rachel was raised on her family’s farm at Coleambally in NSW, and with her husband and two children, currently lives at Moama NSW, where her husband works with his family’s farming business.

Rachel is happiest when spending time with her family at the farm, and loves nothing more than being able to help with harvest, sowing, irrigation and everything in-between. These experiences have also given Rachel a deep understanding and appreciation of the complexities of family farming business, and the importance of proactive succession planning.

Rachel is a lawyer by trade and works as part of the legal and corporate affairs team for an Australian ASX listed agri-food company. Prior to this, Rachel has practiced with a local firm working predominantly in the areas of agribusiness, water law and litigation, has provided legal and corporate services to a large infrastructure project, and has managed the advocacy and government relations program for a peak industry body.

Rachel has completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management), and a Graduate Certificate in Rural Leadership. Rachel is a graduate of both the Australian Rural Leadership Program and the AICD Company Directors Course, and is a NSW representative to the Murray Darling Basin Community Advisory Committee.
